The Department of Communications of the Liberia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church gears up for the launch of a special high school program for kids.

This comes following the successful climax of the 2022 International Children’s Day of Broadcasting program on the United Methodist Radio.

Mr. Togba however said, a team will be set up by the department to coordinate the entire process and the recruitment exercise of the first 15 high school will begin in Monrovia and also indicated that each selected school will be given time to do a presentation on news contents that will be gathered from their school on Saturdays.

The Acting Director of the United Methodist Communications Department then indicated that sharpening the skills of young people always lead to assuming future leadership role and at the same time encouraged parents to help expose their children’s talent by helping them get engaged with educational programs.

As he challenged the department to strive in making the next group bigger than the 2022 group of 9 kids, the Veteran Communicator then said, no parent should keep their children away from exploring new ideas and went on to describe journalists as the voice of the voice less.
