Gbarnga City, Bong County – August 2, 2025: The Conference United Methodist Women’s Organization wrapped up an energetic one-day regional meeting in Gbarnga City, Bong County, welcoming members from across the area for a day filled with fellowship, worship, and meaningful discussions.
The event, held on Saturday, August 2, brought together women from Gbarnga, Kokoya, Weala, Lofa, and Jacklah districts. Participants described the atmosphere as joyful and refreshing, as women of faith came together not only to celebrate their shared mission but also to address important issues facing the United Methodist Church in Liberia.
A Platform for Growth and Connection
Throughout the day, participants took part in conversations focused on strengthening the work of the United Methodist Women’s Organization and planning for a greater impact in their communities and within the Liberia Annual Conference.
The program included interactive sessions where women shared personal stories, challenges their organizations face, and inspiring accounts of resilience. Leaders stressed the importance of staying true to the teachings of the United Methodist Church while also adapting to meet the spiritual and social needs of a changing world.
“This gathering has truly empowered us,” said one participant from Kokoya. “We came together not only to worship but also to learn from each other and to build a stronger future for our organization.”
