The Department of Evangelism and Missions of the United Methodist
Church concludes a 4 day fast and prayer for Liberia with a call for
citizens to allow God determines who the country’s next leader would
be.
Speaking during the close of the ongoing fast and prayer for the nation,
the Public Relations Officer at the Bible Society-Liberia Pastor Fayiah
Tamba said, when Liberians allow the will of God prevail, citizens would
find a perfect resting place.
Pastor Tamba noted that it is good Liberians to acknowledge at this
moment because his ways and thoughts are completely different from
ours and at the same time warned Liberians against being part of a
generation of disobedience because God’s will is essential.
He then called on citizens to lean on the will of God for direction in
choosing who the country’s next leader will be because if God wants a
person to lead the nation, he will begin to lead the hearts of the people
in the direction that God has chosen.
The Public Relation Officer of the Bible Society-Liberia however used
the occasion to remind Liberians that there is a need to rise up and
speak against things that are design to divide the nation and do those
things that promote Jesus Christ.
