In a solemn ceremony, the Trinity United Methodist Church Men Unit welcomed a new corps of officers with a strong call for them to embody strength and courage in their leadership roles. The induction service, marked by guidance from Trinity United Methodist Church Associate Pastor Reverend Alexander Kanwie, emphasized the importance of careful conduct, reliance on the word of God, and seeking divine direction in decision-making processes for the officials of the men’s unit.

Outgoing President Father Stephen Seah expressed gratitude to the men’s unit for their support during his tenure. He highlighted projects undertaken and pledged cooperation with the incoming leadership. Father Seah called on the new president to safeguard the unit’s esteemed reputation, nurture the team, and diligently pursue the unit’s aims and goals.

Following his induction as the new president, Father Jacob Davies assured the men’s unit of their commitment to unity. He urged members to demonstrate respect for each other, irrespective of status. Father Davies outlined six key focus areas for his administration, including the establishment of a comprehensive geographical roster, returning to a regular meeting schedule from January 2024, and addressing endowment benefits for former unit members.

Father Davies emphasized the importance of supporting fundraising programs and announced plans to use proceeds from the men’s program in March 2024 for installing air conditioning within the church’s edifice in preparation for the Father’s Day celebration.

In an effort to ensure transparency, Father Davies announced a three-month audit process to assess financial transactions and determine the organization’s current financial standing. He also exercised his executive authority by appointing key individuals to various roles, including Father Alexander Doe as Presidential Envoy and Chairman of the Men Unit’s Advisory Board.

Senior members from the Monrovia District Men Organization, including outgoing Father Juju Kumeh, participated in the induction process. Newly elected President Father Baryou Wallace led the fund drive, marking the commencement of the new leadership’s term with a strong commitment to unity, transparency, and the pursuit of the organization’s objectives.
